House Rules
To ensure the safety and integrity of the house and all our guests, please read our house rules.
PARTIES/EVENTS:
No parties/events are allowed. Per the North Carolina Short-Term Rental guidelines, parties and events are strictly prohibited. Failure to abide by this rule will result in immediate eviction and additional cleaning fees. We don’t want to be party poopers, but parties are prohibited. For stays longer than 30 days, parties or large gatherings may be permitted with prior discussions.
NO SMOKING/VAPING
Smoking and Vaping of any substances are strictly prohibited inside the property. Any evidence of smoking inside the property will result in an additional charge AND IS GROUNDS FOR EVICTION. Smoking permeates through the walls, furniture, floors, and can cause damage which may result in cancellation of the next guests stay. Damages will be assessed.
Smoking is permitted 25 feet away from the house.
NO WEAPONS OR ILLEGAL ACTIVITY OR SUBSTANCES
We think this one is self explanatory. But just in case, don’t do anything that can cause fines or jail time. Weapons of any kind are prohibited for the safety of others.
NO PETS
We love our furry friends, but unfortunately pets are prohibited. The yard is not fenced in and we can not guarantee your furry friends safety. If evidence of pets are found on the property, a $100 fee will be charged per day plus damages. We really don't want to have to charge you, so please follow our house rules.
QUIET TIME
To respect the neighbors, quiet time is 10pm-7am daily. Noise should be kept to a respectable decibel. Parties and large gatherings or events are prohibited. Respecting our neighbors are of the utmost importance. Continued noise complaints can result in eviction.
PARKING
Two parking spots are provided to you in the driveway. Additional parking can be found on the street. Do not block the property driveway or the neighbors driveways. Cars should not be parked in front of the mailbox or on the grass or curbs.
PESTS
Critters, bugs, and animals are native to Raleigh, and it is not uncommon for some pests to appear. In order to reduce the risk of these unwanted pests, it's important to keep doors and windows closed, clean up messes or spills - even outside, and to keep trash in the proper enclosed receptacles. We ask that you do not eat in bedrooms or office, but if you do, please be mindful of crumbs and clean up. A dust buster and vacuum are provided for your use. Routine pest service is provided and monitored.
TRASH
It is imperative that trash is taken outside and placed inside the trash bins. Failure to do so will invite unwanted bugs, critters and animals. Do not leave trash outside on the porch, deck or any other outside area. Trash must be placed inside the closed trash bin not on the side of the house or next to the trash bins.
One of the many wonderful things about Raleigh is its diversity. In our neighborhood you'll see and hear kids playing and riding bikes, couples holding hands on a stroll, pet owners walking their dogs, and neighbors giving away eggs from their chickens. You may hear a rooster checking in. While the sounds of the rooster can be heard from the outside, the sounds have not caused a problem inside the house. Still, we want to make sure our guests have a wonderful stay, we have stocked the house with noise buffering shades and curtains, sound machines, and ear plugs.
There are three security cameras on the property. One at the front door, one in the driveway, and one on the backyard overlooking the yard. These cameras are for safety and security. For stays longer than 30 days, access to the camera can be granted by request.
